We are looking for a talented maths teacher who has the knowledge, passion and enthusiasm to get the best out of GCSE pupils. We want someone with exceptional knowledge of the KS4 programmes of study and assessments and a track record of excellent outcomes for pupils are essential.

The successful candidate will solely teach KS4 and will be confident in planning and delivering quality lessons as well as robust interventions that will support progress of pupils. 

To be clear: this is not the traditional ‘teacher in charge of leading Key Stage 4’ role. This role is for someone who is exceptional in the classroom and wants to continue to improve their classroom practice, inspiring pupils and modelling best practice to others. 

This may be your first promotion, having been a successful maths teacher for several years. Perhaps you’ve been reluctant to take on the responsibility of being a subject leader because you wanted to spend as much time in the classroom as possible. Or maybe you’ve been a subject leader and realised you wanted to spend more time with the children.

Our exceptional Key Stage 4 practitioner will have the capacity to identify the knowledge gaps for our current Year 10 and 11 pupils and then target their teaching so our young people achieve the best possible outcomes. They will also model their practice to others, working closely with our trust’s maths specialists to hone teaching across the faculty.
